Glenella Quarry Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business located in New South Wales, Australia. Our flagship operation, Glenella Quarry (GeQ), is located in the rural Central West in NSW, approximately 26 kilometres southeast of Cowra. Ideally situated on 1700 acres of grazing and cropping country, Glenella Quarry is one of the most diverse quarries in the country offering high-quality quartz silica pebble (also known as Cowra White or Western White River Pebble), high-grade construction sands, clay, and basalt products. Due to the almost pure grade nature of the silica content in our pebbles (Si02: 99.6 – 99.8%), GeQ has been researching the industrial mineral side of our products. Recoverable quantities of all products far exceeds the limit of current approvals.

A new Development Agreement was issued in August 2007 – stamped by both Cowra and Boorowa Shire Councils for the extraction of 200,00 tpa of associated products or a total of 5 MT over a 40-year period.
In addition to securing all necessary government approvals, at its inception, Glenella Quarry made the decision to invest heavily in a state-of-the-art processing plant and equipment.

In March 2007 GeQ secured a long-term lease for Bogo Quarry and have been operators of the quarry since. Bogo Quarry is located directly off the Hume Highway, approximately 18 kilometers South of Yass, and only 82 kilometers from Canberra. The quarry is a Rhyolite hard rock deposit and has a long history of supplying high-grade aggregates for ready-mixed concrete, civil constructions and road sealing purposes. Products include, but are not limited to, Pre-coat Aggregates, DGB20, DGS40, Roadbase, Select Fill and Crusher Dust.

Bogo Quarry currently operates under a 200,000 tpa approval from Yass Valley Shire which is valid until 2019. Concurrently, Glenella Quarry is in the final stages of submitting a new Development Application which will seek a 25-30 year approval for 380,00 tpa with associated on-site concrete batching and asphalt plants.

With unyielding commitment to customer service, creating specialized solutions for customers and striving to bring continued efficiencies to their business, the owners, Michael and Amy Howe have grown from strength-to-strength.
